When you join CU Denver’s Teacher Education minor, you gain access to a 4+1 program that helps you earn a degree in your current major, a Master’s in Teaching, and a Colorado Teaching License in five years.
Degree Earned:MALicenseDeepens an understanding of mathematics while illustrating how to engage middle school students in meaningful learning experiences. Applicants with a wide range of professional experiences are encouraged to take this program and become fully licensed middle school math teachers.
Degree Earned:Graduate CertificateProvides content-area teachers (math, science, social studies, etc.) with a foundation of teaching content for multilingual students. The certificate is also valuable to content-area coaches or administrators with a commitment to diversity and social justice, and who provide support for teachers with multilingual learners in K - 12 classrooms.

Features a residency program perfected and proven through almost 30 years of ongoing work with partner schools. Graduates are equipped to expand students' world views and language development.
