ASPIRE to Teach® is the largest alternative teacher preparation program in Colorado. Our program is high-tech, personalized, online, and available to teachers in all Colorado Department of Education (CDE) eligible endorsement areas and PreK-12 educational settings.

How to Apply

Step 1: Fill out the Application

Please click on the Application Form here to start your application. Please note that you do need a teaching contract in an Alternatively Licensable content area.

The ASPIRE program has rolling admissions with six application windows from late summer to early spring, plus a February window for Special Education candidates. Application windows are based on timing and enrollment capacity. Applications are processed in the order that they are received, and incomplete applications are not processed.

Step 2: Upload the following Documents

  • Resume
  • Official degree-conferred transcript from your undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) programs.
  • PRAXIS exam results or CDE confirmation of content competency
    • Interim Authorization – receipt of scheduled PRAXIS exam (test date must be within 21 days of ASPIRE application)
  • Statement of Assurance (must be signed by employing HR)
  • Teaching contract/offer letter (must list teaching placement and FTE)
    • HR verification of teaching placement and FTE required if not specified in contract
