Human Development and Family Relations

BS in Human Development and Family Relations (HDFR) majors are prepared to effectively serve culturally and linguistically diverse individuals and families thereby supporting and improving workplaces and communities. Our HDFR program is the first of its kind in the United States to offer bilingual (Spanish) HDFR courses. It will lead to a certification in the field. At CU Denver, it’s the only program that focuses on family relationships within schools and communities. Our physical location in the heart of Denver and in rural Colorado provides unique opportunities for students to engage with children and youth, families, schools, community colleges, businesses and non-profits with diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
