Students explore the relationship between language, identity, and power while gaining insight into how schools and public institutions impact diverse communities. They build the skills to apply inclusive, culturally responsive approaches, examine bilingual education and multilingual development, and develop a strengths-based perspective for working effectively with students and families.

There are no separate admission requirements for the CLDE minor beyond undergraduate enrollment. Students should consult with SEHD advising to ensure alignment with their academic plan.
