Think for a moment what education and training are going to be like in ten years. Technology is transforming the world, and education will keep up. You've picked an exciting time to explore a career in eLearning!

This degree program will give you the skills you need to design and facilitate online learning opportunities for learners in higher education, K12, and corporate settings. You'll experience interactive learning, hands-on projects and collaborative team work - all highly marketable skills. You will: create web-based instructional products that incorporate multi-media and hypermedia techniques and applications; and develop important leadership and research skills. You will then create an online portfolio that exemplifies best practices in e-Learning. The entire program takes about 2 years to complete. 

All courses are online.

Application Requirements

  • 3 recommendation letters
  • Official Transcripts from all institutions attended
  • If applying for an endorsement, a copy of your Teaching License is required
  • Resume/CV
  • Written Statement: Describe your interest in the program, your special strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve through your work in the program
  • $50.00 application fee
  • International Applicants only: Proof of English Language Proficiency (International applicants should review the following information regarding English language proficiency)
  • Admissions Interview: An interview may be required as part of the admissions process. If so, applicants will be contacted with more details.

Additional Requirements

If you're considered a non-resident student and are living outside the state of Colorado, there's a financial advantage to taking all of your CU Denver courses online. The discounted online rate is 120% of the resident rate. This amount is higher than the standard in-state tuition, but significantly lower than the non-resident tuition amount.
