Field Experience Placement Information
The Office of Partnerships coordinates placements for Teacher Licensure students not in job-embedded pathways or partnerships, and provides support for all field experience students.
Placement Form Deadlines
Fall Semester Deadline: April 1
Spring Semester Deadline: November 1
Students must submit the Placement Form one semester prior to participating in a Field Experience or Internship.
Background Check Requirements
A fingerprinting and background check is required one time, prior to your first field experience.
Professional Year
Two semesters, or more, of teacher residency during final year of program.
- Application will be required: Deadline of 2/15 for Fall start and 10/1 for Spring start

Technology Support

UCD Access Portal
UCD Access Portal - used to register for classes, pay bills, apply for graduation, view unofficial transcripts, accept financial aid awards, apply for scholarships, and more.

Canvas
Canvas is the online learning management system.
- Please take a look at the CU Online page for a quick video introduction on how to use canvas.
A few notes about Canvas
- Allows you to access course material, submit assignments, and engage in classes
- All online and hybrid classes and some on-campus classes will use Canvas (Please contact your instructor if you do not have access to your online or hybrid course through Canvas by the first day of the semester.)
- Fully online courses are NOT self-paced
- Your Canvas Inbox is separate from your CU Denver email
- There’s also a Canvas App, available for download on IOS and Android platforms.
Zoom
Zoom is an online conferencing tool available to all students, staff, and faculty.
