Fernie Baca Scholarship Fund
Amount depends on available funds. Awarded to one student each Fall semester.
Scholarship Criteria: Eligible recipients are graduate and undergraduate students in the CU Denver School of Education & Human Development with an area of focus on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. Awardee must be a first generation student. Please submit a letter stating how you meet the criteria.
The ¡Adelante! Scholarship
$2000 award to up to 6 recipients (two enrolled/continuing students and four newly enrolled students) in Fall semester.
Scholarship Criteria: Eligible recipients are CU Denver students working towards a Masters or endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE). Preference will be given to first-generation college goers, teachers who work with first-generation college goers, and teachers from and working with bilingual communities. Interested applicants, please write an essay about who you are and how your work will promote bilingualism for your students, their families and the community.
