What you’ll learn

Our School of Education and Human Development is among the top education schools according to U.S. News and World Report. This MA focuses on the use of learning technology to better support student learning and engagement, collaborate with colleagues and school administration, communicate and work with students’ families.

This cohort of educators will address relevant, emerging learning technology topics such as active and experiential pedagogy, media and maker projects, integration of technology, blended and online learning, open educational resources, digital storytelling, creative instructional materials design, and technology adoption and leadership.

Our program features:

  • Courses designed and facilitated with SVVS’s high-quality standards for teaching and learning
  • Focused on digital pedagogy and job-embedded projects that are implemented in the classroom.

This personalized program with reduced cohort pricing allows educators to complete the MA requirements within five semesters (Spring 2022 - Summer 2023) by integrating SVVSD’s Blended Learning Certificate in partnership with School of Education & Human Development’s Continuing Professional Education.

Time and Location

Fall 2022 - Spring 2024: During the school year, the cohort will meet Tuesday evenings (4:30 – 7:30 p.m.) from St. Vrain Valley School District at the Innovation Center in SVVSD. During the summers, there will be a few remote sessions with online and group work scheduled in-between to accommodate summer plans. Access to the online course and remote/virtual attendance is required.

Tuition and Cost of Attendance

Tuition costs for this program are significantly lower than main campus rates because they are offered as off-campus extended studies courses through the School of Education & Human Development office of Continuing & Professional Education based on an agreement between SVVS and CU Denver. Each 3 credit course costs approximately $890. Course costs do not include student fees, books and other possible fees.

Please note: A one-time matriculation fee of approximately $100 will also be charged if you do not have a previous degree from a CU campus.
