Educators who join the cohort will earn the CLDE endorsement (24 credits) in five semesters (Fall 2019 through spring 2021) with options to continue on for an MA in CLDE. To complete the program, teachers will participate in three types of credit-bearing experiences, each designed specifically for Adams 12 teachers:
These courses are offered in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face meetings (in Adams 12 district facilities) with online work. The major assignments are designed to be applied directly to your school context.
Recognizing the power of connecting professional development work to graduate studies, this program allows you to carry approximately two credits worth of PD work (completed through specific Adams 12 CLDE training) into a three credit graduate class.
In addition to applied coursework from graduate courses, participants may apply for three graduate credits for documented experience working to improve outcomes for multilingual students.
Adams 12 and CU Denver are deeply committed to keeping the costs of this program as low as possible for teachers. The cost estimate to complete the required coursework at CU Denver is:
