The Executive Coaching for Equity Certificate is a professional, non-degree certificate designed for leaders within the public and private sector of business, school districts, non-profits, and institutions of higher education. Our approach at the University of Colorado Denver is to support working professionals in an engaging, blended format of monthly modules completed through asynchronous and live, interactive virtual sessions. Our research-based curriculum of best practices in coaching is aligned with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) coaching competencies. Participants will receive one-to-one coaching from an Executive Coach as part of their professional growth and coaching development.

Meet the ICF Core Competencies for Coaching.
Coach for client goals.
Practice professional coaching practices that build upon your team’s, department’s, school’s, or organization’s success.
Learn how to support your organization's emerging leaders as a coach.
The next cohort for Executive Coaching for Equity Certificate begins with an in-person weekend in September 2024 and completes in April 2025. There are three face-to-face weekends: one each in September, November and February. Each month a virtual module will provide our coaching curriculum with a required two-hour, live Zoom call for in-depth discussions and coaching practice. Zoom calls will be scheduled with the cohort to ensure availability and maximum participation.
This 8-month non-degree, continuing professional education certificate requires participants to complete one module per month and to practice coaching within an applicable, real-life context. Each participant needs to commit to approximately 15 hours per month between the learning materials and active coaching.
Participants will also have access to their own executive coach for individual coaching sessions each month to support their own professional growth as a coach.
Graduate Credit is available upon successful completion of the certificate.

“A benefit of this program was the opportunity to receive an executive coach for several months and to learn from their actual strategies and approaches.” ~ Cohort Participant
“I think one of the strengths of the program is the intensity of focus on coaching, developing the skills/practices of coaching and practicing coaching while also being coached. This focus in all aspects - learning about, practicing, being coached- was exemplary in both stretching my own skills and cementing them into my practice.” ~ Cohort Participant
