Katie Jones loves to teach and learn. She began in the School of Education and Human Development as a Site Coordinator in the Urban Community Teacher Education program, partnering from Adams City Middle School and George Washington High School. Her professional experience spans public schools and higher education institutions in key areas including West Chicago, Denver, and Boston. Now, Katie is an Assistant Teaching Professor supporting teacher development through the ASPIRE to Teach program and the Curriculum and Instruction: Critical Pedagogy MA program. In her spare time, Katie and her family enjoy fostering litters of kittens and spending time at the family cabin in the mountains.
ASPIRE has been so supportive through my whole first year of teaching. I have had so many questions and issues come up and I know I can count on my ASPIRE Instructors to be there. They are supportive and always make sure that they are there to answer all of my questions. - Kiwi , ASPIRE Candidate
