As a mathematics educator with 30 years of experience, I am passionate about continuous learning and dedicated to discovering and teaching meaningful mathematics. My travels around the world have provided me with diverse perspectives on life and education. My teaching career began in New Hampshire, where I taught pre-algebra to seventh graders. Since then, I have lived in several locations and taught students ranging from first grade to adults, including time spent on the island of Kwajalein in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, as well as in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and now Colorado. I feel honored to serve as a STEM instructor at CU Denver, where I guide and support future teachers. Additionally, I assist first-year mathematics teachers who are pursuing alternative licensure through the ASPIRE to Teach program. I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education, and my research interests include undergraduate college algebra instruction, instructors' dispositions toward teaching with technology, and transformative learning experiences through reflective practices.
