Elena Sandoval-Lucero has 35 years of experience in academic and student affairs settings in higher education. Most recently, she held senior level leadership positions at community colleges for ten years. She is a practitioner-scholar who has remained active in research, scholarship, and the student affairs profession throughout her career. She serves on the editorial boards for several journals, and as a mentor for local and national higher education leadership development programs. She teaches higher education and leadership courses, and has presented, researched, and written about the field. She has dedicated her career to helping students believe in the possibilities that exist for them and tapping into the power of education to transform lives.
