RSEM 6500: Teacher as Researcher

In this dynamic, hands‑on course, educators become empowered learners, actively exploring the complexities of today’s teaching and learning environments. You'll dive into current research, reflect on your own professional experiences, and investigate the unique contexts that shape your practice.

Guided by expert faculty, you’ll design and carry out an action research project that allows you to collect meaningful data, share insights with peers, and ultimately craft a professional research report. These applied learning experiences not only deepen your understanding of evidence‑based practice but also equip you with practical strategies to drive positive change in your classroom, school, or community.

Completion of this course is the first step in the ECE Pedagogy Certificate and may also be used towards the CU Denver’s Innovative Online MA with Bouder Journey School.
