These credits can be& utilized for salary advancement or applied to other programs at CU Denver, including CLDE or CLD-BE endorsement program, or MA in CLDE.

Responsive Classroom Communities (starts June 8)

Participants will explore powerful tools and mindsets that help transform classrooms into vibrant spaces where all learners feel seen, supported, and challenged. Through collaborative activities, real-world examples, and reflective inquiry, educators will leave with practical strategies they can apply immediately to enrich student learning and nurture a more inclusive school culture.

Integrating Language into Content Instruction (starts July 8)

This workshop gives you practical, research‑informed ways to integrate language development into your everyday content lessons. You’ll explore how to support emerging bilingual students in growing their language and literacy skills throughout the entire school day while engaging them in meaningful, grade‑level learning.

Dimensions of Language Growth(starts August 30)

Focusing on four specific dimensions of language—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—this workshop explores ways to integrate specific strategies for developing language while strengthening content instruction. Taking a student-centered “language as action” approach, we will examine how we can build on multilingual students’ assets, positioning all students as important contributors to content lessons.

Independent Inquiry into CLDE Content Teaching (starts October 5)

This independent study offers participants who have completed prior workshops a focused opportunity to deepen their learning through graduate-level readings aligned to their interests and instructional context. Through guided inquiries, participants connect previous coursework and emerging questions to research that is immediately relevant to their practice. The experience culminates in a practical, context‑specific action plan designed to advance multilingual student success.
