Dr. Marlinda Hines is a dedicated professional who has contributed to CU Denver’s School of Education & Human Development since 2004. She believes deeply in the transformative power of education and has supported countless students in reaching their academic goals.
Dr. Hines earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central State University, building a solid foundation in understanding human behavior and motivation. She went on to complete a Master’s in Counseling at the University of Colorado Denver, furthering her ability to guide individuals in their personal and academic development.
Her commitment to positive social change led her to pursue a Doctorate in Education (EdD) from Wilmington University, where her research focused on higher education staff work engagement—reflecting her dedication to improving organizational effectiveness and student success.
As Associate Director of Recruitment & Outreach, Dr. Hines channels her passion into action, encouraging students to pursue further education as a means of personal growth and community impact. Her work is grounded in advocacy, equity, and a belief in education as a powerful tool for change.
