Julia Cummings has a long history of working in marketing and communications roles for not-for-profits and educational organizations. Her previous work experience includes marketing and public affairs roles at the Smithsonian Institution, National Audubon Society and Denver Museum of Nature & Science. She has worked at CU Denver since 2007 as the School of Education & Human Development’s marketing director.

Education, Licensure & Certifications
Julia has an MBA with a marketing emphasis from University of Colorado Denver and a BA in Humanities, magna cum laude, from University of Colorado Boulder. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Affairs.

In her career, Julia has identified many unique story ideas and secured some amazing news coverage including spots on the Today Show, CNN, ESPN and a front-page story in The New York Times.
She oversaw PR for a $50 million capital campaign.
