Distinguished Faculty Lecture: Manuel Espinoza, PhD
Masterpieces Made Visible: Educational Dignity, Social Dreaming, and the Colorado Constitution
Julia Cummings | School of Education and Human Development Jan 31, 2020What might it mean for all students in public schools to be treated as "dignity-bearing" persons? What does it mean to dream socially? Along with members of the Right to Learn (R2L) undergraduate research collective, Dr. Manuel Espinoza explores the origins and meanings of dignity in relation to education. As a remedy for addressing historical inequalities, the idea of amending the "education clause" of the Colorado constitution is introduced.
Join us for an evening with Dr. Espinoza to learn more about his distinguished research. The lecture and Q&A session will last approximately one hour. A public reception will follow the lecture in the Student Commons Speer Gallery.
