Join us as we unpack the notion of Unhindered Writing in school spaces because writers of all ages deserve to unlock the transformative potential of writing. Melanie will present the six trends that surfaced from her study about school-aged writers engaging in Unhindered Writing: (a) writing about personally meaningful topics, (b) practicing agency through writing, (c) using writing as a form of expression, (d) writing across various modes and contexts, (e) employing writing as a vehicle for sense-making, and (f) writing as part of a community.
