The Leadership Collaborative: Preparing your Campuses for the Future of Higher Education

with Teara Flagg Lander, EdD

Today’s higher education leaders must create forward‑thinking programs that shape the future workforce, accelerate research, and develop strong leadership pipelines. In this course, executive leaders will learn proven approaches for collaborating across teams, forging strategic partnerships, enhancing marketing efforts, and building a culture that drives organizational success.

Higher education is experiencing meaningful change, shaped by evolving policy expectations, shifting public perceptions, and continued conversations around affordability and student success. These dynamics are prompting institutions to rethink how they support students, strengthen operations, and plan for the future.

A growing part of that planning involves leadership. With many campuses experiencing increased turnover and expanding responsibilities, institutions need intentional strategies to develop emerging leaders and maintain continuity across departments and divisions.

At the same time, new tools and technologies, including early applications of artificial intelligence, are offering ways to improve efficiency and enhance the campus experience when used thoughtfully.

This course provides a focused space for executive leaders to explore these trends and build practical strategies for the road ahead. Through curated readings, videos, discussions, and a weekly learning community, participants will gain actionable insights, learn promising practices from across the sector, and strengthen their ability to cultivate collaboration, partnerships, and a strong leadership pipeline.
