Lots of things are changing across many industries where our students are employed. At this time, you may find that you need temporary or longer-term support to ensure you have the food you need. We offer food support within the SEHD and have also included links below to other sources of food. If you or someone you know needs food, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

CARES Act Emergency Funding for Students
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides emergency funds to universities, including CU Denver | Anschutz, to directly support students whose lives and educations have been disrupted by the COVID-19 outbreak. This funding is designed to prioritize students with the greatest need and be distributed as widely as possible. Student applicants must have a valid Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the university and qualify for Title IV aid. The Financial Aid webpage provides details on how to apply.
Loving Lynx Committee
The Loving Lynx Committee is a resource available for CU Denver students dealing with unanticipated events related (but not limited) to accidents, medical or dental emergencies, natural disasters, and/or a need for temporary housing. If you are unsure if your situation constitutes as an unanticipated event, we encourage you to contact the Dean of Student’s Office (Loving Lynx contact information listed below) to discuss your situation.

Can you help provide food support?
We have had several students who have lost their jobs due to their place of employment closing down. We are helping those students in need with grocery gift cards that can be sent electronically. If you would like to donate click on the ‘donate to the success center' button below.
- Choose ‘see all buying options’
- Choose $25 as the amount (this way we can get more to different students)
- Under "to " please enter sehdsuccesscenter@ucdenver.edu, under "from " you can write your name or you can write SEHD Family/CU Denver Family.
- If you are getting more than one, change the quantity to the number you are getting.
