Franci Crepeau-Hobson joined the School of Education & Human Development in 2006. She led the development of the PsyD program in School Psychology and the pursuit of program accreditation.

Prior to coming to CU Denver, Crepeau-Hobson was an assistant professor at the University of Northern Colorado and a practicing school psychologist for several years in the Denver metro area.

Crepeau-Hobson’s research has focused on youth suicide prevention, crisis response and intervention, school violence prevention, and psychological assessment. She serves on both national and state crisis response teams and she has responded to a range of crisis events, including school shootings. She has also consulted with a number of schools and school districts regarding crisis response and suicide prevention.

Crepeau-Hobson is a Denver native who is an avid skier. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
