The University of Colorado Denver is pleased to announce our 4th Annual Colorado Black Education !mpact (BE!) Conference.

CONFERENCE INFORMATION

The BE! Conference Planning Team anticipates inviting about 300 outstanding students from Denver Metro area high schools, 50 parents, and 50 educators to the Downtown Auraria Campus for a day of interaction. The conference will offer specific discussion groups and workshops designed to engage students, educators, and community members.

 

In addition to a College Fair and a College Navigation Panel discussion, specific workshop topics will include:

  • Financial Literacy: Maximizing my $$$?
  • Marketing the “Best You” !
  • Combating “Poverty Thinking” in the Classroom
  • Leveraging Athletic Talent for College & Career

Finally, please encourage your students to apply for unrestricted scholarship funds at www.marinenunneducationfund.org. We will award two (2) college grants equaling up to $1000 each at the BE! Conference!

 

*We will also include virtual workshop participation via video conferencing for select sessions.
